If you have a lot of casual or underexposed photos on your computer, don’t delete them! You can use post-production software to turn these photos into black and white, so you can add a layer of “art” to your photos! Let’s see how to do it now!

Before Starting:

You need to use Photoshop CC for post-production, please click Photoshop CC-Download and install guide to install Photoshop CC first;

(Step 1) Choose the Right Photo

Although it is said to make ordinary photos into art, to make black and white photos, it is best to choose some photos with light and dark contrast to start, because when the photos are converted to black and white, the colors will be faded, leaving only black and white (light position).

(Step 2) Open the Photo

After opening the photo, we can double-click to change the background into an editable layer, then select “Black & White” in the “Adjustment Layer” menu (see the picture below), use the “Adjustment Layer” The advantage is that parameters can be changed at any time without damaging the original phase.

(Step 3) Adjust Black and White Parameters

In the “Black & White” parameter menu, you can adjust the light and darkness of various colors, so that the color becomes lighter or darker in the “Black and White” photos. You can freely adjust to see the effect.

One of the useful tools is the “finger” icon . After clicking, you can choose the color directly on the photo. You can drag the mouse left or right to adjust the light and dark in real time.

If you want to adjust this quickly, you can apply the preset template , which can be found in the “Preset” column, which is very convenient!
